Bowie Dunne
is a multi-disciplinary artist working on unceded Jagera and Turrbal land. Making and creating with found and hand-made items and objects relating to materials of the domestic. Exploring ideologies of gender nonconformity, the abject, grotesque and the sublime.
Dunne currently tattoos at Houndhaus Tattoo Co., with a practice centred on inclusivity and safety. Working in blackwork, he draws on popular culture and frequently returns to the motif of dogs, reflecting their symbolic role as loyal companions and protectors.
