Selene M Cochrane

An intimate group show featuring works by Jennifer Orland, Liana Kabel, Selene Mauri Cochrane, Paola Milani and Danielle O’Brien using a diverse range of media including watercolour, ceramics, assemblage, oils and textiles to explore themes of restriction and resilience- containment and transformation, legacy and the sacred. This work traverses the rocky road between expectation and reality, reflecting archetypes of motherhood and the feminine and the labour of womanhood.

Bound and Becoming encapsulates the tension between limitation and growth, acknowledging the constraints historically placed upon women while celebrating the transformation that arises from within. Together our work traces the thread of endurance and evolution, expressing what binds and what liberated.
