REMNANTS

RACHEL FAVELLE, ERICA EURELL

REMNANTS brings together new paintings and ceramics by Rachel Favelle with woven fibre works by Erica Eurell. It is an exploration of land, memory and belonging.

Rachel’s surreal paintings bring together flora, fauna and ornate objects. Fabric folds softly around unexpected forms. Often contrasted against deep black backgrounds.

Erica is a Traditional Custodian from the Yugambeh Language Region of the Gold Coast. Her practice spans weaving, painting, language and performance. For REMNANTS, she works primarily in woven fibre.

Together, their works consider what belongs, what has been introduced and what remains. Tracing the threads between memory, nature and place.
