MICHELLE SPENCER
SELECTED WORKS
Field Trip Pres.
a selection of paintings and ceramics by Michelle Ellen Spencer, curated by the Field Trip team.
Michelle Spencer is a contemporary artist and maker based in Brisbane, Australia. Working primarily with paint and clay, her intuitive practice emerges from meditation, memory, and a deep spiritual inquiry. Her work explores the unseen, where archetypes, folklore, and symbolic imagery become vessels for protection, reflection, and transformation.
Recurring motifs such as birds, ladders, and animal guardians echo across her sculptures and paintings, weaving a visual language rooted in the liminal. Whether wheel-thrown, hand-built, or gesturally drawn, each piece offers a quiet conversation with her inner world, a salve for the spirit and a reminder of our layered interior lives.
