GLOAMING
Gloaming
At the threshold of darkness, familiar forms begin to shift. Light softens, shadows lengthen, colours deepen, and the boundaries between what is seen and what is imagined become less certain.
The gloaming is a moment of transition- fleeting, atmospheric, and charged with possibility.
Gloaming brings together a diverse group of painters, illustrators, ceramicists, photographers, weavers, and small object makers, each drawn to the elusive space between day and night. Across a range of materials and approaches, our artists explore this liminal state: the tension between illumination and obscurity.
Their works consider the changing nature of perception as the day recedes and night emerges, finding beauty in the uncertain space between the two. Together, they invite us to linger in the in-between and allow the shifting light to reveal something unexpected.
