INTO THE GREY

Into the Grey explores the space between memory, mystery and the open road. Working across colour and monotone, these experimental landscapes centre on roads slipping into the distance, where clarity dissolves and the horizon refuses to explain itself.
The works draw on hazy childhood recollections of long car, bus and train journeys to unfamiliar places, watching landscapes pass through the window and feeling suspended between where you were and wherever you were going. They revisit that sensation of being transported somewhere beyond, guided by trust and curiosity, alongside dreamlike images drawn from memory and a childhood immersed in cinema.
Through a series of small to medium works, Into the Grey invites viewers to sit with the beauty and unease of uncertainty. The road becomes the narrative, while the destination remains deliberately out of reach.
