I’ve walked across the Story Bridge many times. When I was a Postie, working from the Coorparoo Postal Centre, I’d walk from my home in New Farm almost daily. It was always my habit to check the time on the City Hall clock as I passed the single point where it is still visible on the bridge. Once the tallest building in Brisbane, it now seems to be drowning in its tall, modern neighbours. It is somewhat sad, but it also makes me really happy to see it glowing there.

I make the frames for these circular tondi myself. There’s an intrinsic compositional beauty in them that I just love.
